On July 1, 2001, my world took a drastic change. Six months after the birth of my only child, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. While this could be viewed as devastating news, I chose to redirect my life focus.
My career as a public school teacher took a direct hit. The active life I was accustom to came to a screeching halt and I traded in high impact aerobics for gentle yoga. Travel became an enemy and I was forced to view my future in a much more sedate fashion.
I now use my “spare” time to pursue a life long dream in publication.
